   Women’s and Men’s Health

The National Research Center for Women & Families is constantly reviewing new research on a wide variety of women's and men's health topics. Our goal is to provide news you can use to help you make important medical decisions, and to help you know the questions to ask when you visit your doctors and other health professionals.

Excellent research is being conducted on the best treatments for many diseases, but the results are sometimes so complicated that even the experts are not sure what treatment is best for which women. New medical products and treatments to prevent and treat diseases are aggressively promoted, and doctors and patients are not always able to cut through the hype to figure out what the real risks and benefits are of competing products.

Our goal is to cut through the hype for you. We scrutinize published research findings, and call the scientists for the most up-to-date information. Then we translate it into plain language that everyone can understand.

Here are some of the health issues that we think you'll want to know more about, in alphabetical order. If you're looking for information about cancer, go to our Cancer Prevention and Treatment section. If you don't see what you're looking for, contact us through our online health hotline at info@center4research.org. We'll try to get the information you need within a few days.
