The power of advertising has worked wonders for drug companies – in fact, U.S. prescriptions are at an all- time high. Ads directed at consumers tout drugs as miracle treatments that can heal everything and make our lives better in every way. We have all seen them – on our TV screens, in magazines, and online. By law, the ads must include information about risks – but they can bury risk info while distracting us with music or images.
